I choose this area because the nurses are the front-line of any health care centres. Although, doctors are life savers, but positively only with contribution of nurses. If the doctor saves life, the nurse helps in improving the physical and mental condition of the patient. I divided the program in four sections. In the first section I had given an introduction about HMD foundation and their mission. In the second section I explained the topic of Bio-waste Management, Needle stick injuries and Hand & Hygiene WHO reports in the World Health Report 2002, that of the 35 million health-care workers, 2 million experience percutaneous exposure to infectious diseases each year. It further notes that 37.6% of Hepatitis B, 39% of Hepatitis C and 4.4% of HIV/AIDS in Health-Care Workers around the world are due to needle stick injuries. Furthermore I discussed WHO recently reports it showed that no need of 70 percentage injection but Para medical staffs gave and most of time patient tendency they will be early recover take a shots of injection and after that explained side effects of reuse of syringe and focused on safe injection practice it does not harm the recipient, does not expose the health care worker to any risk and does not result in waste that is dangerous for others. In the second section I switched the topic to Mr. Amit. He explained the auto disabled syringe, safety cannula and provided demo of product. His work was admirable because he had shown an initial structure of syringes to recently syringes. He displayed the glass syringes and plastic body syringes and compared their quality. After that compared normal syringes and lock mechanism syringes and same thing was done in normal cannula and safety cannula. Mr, Amit section was attractive and enjoyable for paramedical staffs and they want we will come to their institution.
In the last section I cleared all the doubts related to program.
At the end of the program I requested the whole nursing students to please send this vital and necessary information to your colleagues and people.
